Pop Tab Program

One of the easiest ways to help the House is by collecting pop tabs. This important program helps us fund various household expenses. We ask our families to pay $10 per night, but it actually costs us $65 per night to house each family. The pop tab program helps us to supplement those costs, including buying food for our pantry and providing gas for our van.

We accept the tabs here at the House or if you have a large amount, you can help us out by bringing them directly to the Recycling Center. The center has agreed to keep a list of all donors and forward the proceeds directly to us. If possible, please collect the tabs in containers with large openings; otherwise, the center requires us to transfer them.

If you are a long distance from New Orleans, you can bring them to your local recycling center and then forward the proceeds to us yourself. We also accept the pop tabs by mail. We have small and large collection boxes; please let us know if you would like some.
