IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND HOUSE RULES
Welcome to the New Orleans Ronald McDonald House. We will assist you in any way we can while you are here. In order to better meet your needs and provide a safe and comfortable home environment, we ask that you read and follow our Guidelines carefully. All of our guests are going through a difficult time. Following the House Guidelines ensures respect and consideration for everyone. Failure of any family member or guest to follow these policies could result in your family being asked to leave the House.
All adults in your party must sign and date the signature sheet during registration stating that each of you has read, understands and agrees to follow all House Guidelines.
- There is a $10 per family, per night fee towards the cost of your room with a $5 key deposit.
- Alcoholic Beverages and Illegal Drugs are strictly prohibited. You may not drink in the House or come to the House after drinking alcohol.
- There is ABSOLUTLY NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISES. Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate removal from the House. You will not be permitted to return.
- No food or drinks allowed in rooms.
- Weapons (knives, guns and others) are not permitted in the House.
- The Front Desk is open from 8am-10pm. In case of emergency, staff are available 24 hours a day.
- Baby-sitting services are not available. Children are not to be left unattended at any time.
- Kitchen must be left clean and orderly after each use. You must wash your own dishes and clean the area you use to cook.
- Laundry facilities are provided, free of charge, including washers, dryers, detergent, bleach and irons.
- Quiet hours are observed between 10:30 pm and 8:00 am.
- Security is maintained 24 hours per day. The House is locked at all times. You will be given a security code when you check in—DO NOT GIVE IT TO ANYONE NOT STAYING AT THE HOUSE. You are responsible for keeping your room locked in order to prevent loss or theft.
Our House is run as a home environment; when you stay here, you become a member of the home. Please help us keep the house clean, orderly, and safe for your family and others. Remember our staff is here to help make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.
